Final Rally Message for the demonstration.
Logan students, parents, teachers, and staff: Tomorrow morning is the the day where the voices of this generation will be heard. Many of you have heard Ms. McNamara over the loudspeaker during 6th. She herself announced that we go to class. However she is in support of this demonstration as she spoke to the organizers of this rally. I wish we had educated the mass (students) more, and gave each individual the idea of this rally, but the time has come. There will be people who will be there without knowing the very purpose and i wish i could have done more. Many students have their doubts, fears, and worries about this demonstration. However in the end, we are gathering knowing that we are there to find a new solution, and work together as a community. This message is the last rally call for the Facebook community to pursue education the way we want to, and for life liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The video link shows how not only Logan has been affected, but even elemetary and middle schools. We speak on behalf of Logan, Conley, CCMS, AMS, Eastin, Pioneer, Emanuele, Kitiyama, Hillview Crest, Searles, and all other schools affected by the cuts.
Measure B Urgent notice.
My fellow Logan students. Here is another word from Jed. This coming Wednesday, as many of you know, is the Rally for our education and future. For those who plan to attend: Keep in mind that this is not an event that you should take advantage of just to cut class, and not get the idea and point of this protest. One who messes up, will mess all things up. Before you attend, know what this rally is meant for. Have that purpose in mind, and that purpose is to show our concern for the future, how much it really affected us, and to create a controversy of how the defeat of Measure B impacted us. The media will possibly be there, so make sure you state the true purpose, and the clear message to the nation.
A Passive Generation
I ask myself however: Who has the guts to speak out for the 4,000? People fear what will happen to them if they were to speak out. I have realize that i am living in a very passive generation. Come Logan students of any background. Join the fight to save our future education.
MEASURE B REVOLUTION.
DEAR LOGAN STUDENTS: I, as Junior Class Representative would like to speak on behalf for the Logan Students. It is my best interest to inform you that if measure B doesn’t pass or it did not pass, it is our duty, under the first amendment, to speak out our frustration and our concern for the future of the New Haven Unified School District. Do anything you can, but in an appropriate matter, to show our feelings as students, about the future of our education. I myself has grown weary of the budget and economic mess of our nation, but it is in our hands now to make a change. To stand up and save our future education. -Jed Luyon
